Classroom Culture
There are lots of things that contribute to classroom culture. My classroom is a safe space for everyone. Students need to feel comfortable and supported not only by their teachers and mentors but by their fellow students. I will make every effort to create the environment needed for academic and personal growth throughout the school year.

My Classroom Layout
Every teacher has a dream design to their classroom, one that they believe will foster their ideal learning environment for the students. The main elements of my classroom layout include book shelves full of reading material for the students, center facing desks, and decorations around the classroom to give the room an inviting feeling.
English is one of the scariest subjects for more high schoolers. This is because it requires them to have opinions and feelings and share them with their class often. This will only happen if they feel comfortable in my class, one of the many ways I will work towards this is to have an inviting and safe feeling classroom.

Statement on Bullying
This is a safe space. Be Kind, Respectful, and Patient with each other. High school is difficult for everyone in some way, don’t make anyone’s situation harder than it already is. You never truly know what’s going on with someone else. There is no room for bullying of any kind in this class or school. If you or someone you know is experiencing uncomfortable or dangerous behavior, please communicate with me in whatever way you feel comfortable. If I witness bullying, discrimination, or negative behavior of any kind towards anyone I will not hesitate to remove you from my class, report you formally, or deal with the situation in whatever way I see fit.
