About me
I am originally from San Diego, California but fell in love with the great state of Texas during my wonderful years at Southern Methodist University. I graduated in December 2024 with a dual degree in Secondary Education and English. I loved every minute at SMU where I learned to balance my academics, extracurriculars, and professional development.
In my free time you can find me nannying young children or rescuing animals off the streets. My entire life has been about helping and caring for others so becoming a teaching was always in my path. I believe teaching our future generations is the best way to add more love in the world, my classroom is just about learning English it's about learning to be better human all around.

My Recommended Library
Believe it or not younger me would be astonished that I am an English teacher today. I struggled with reading from a young age, having to sit down quietly and do something entirely on my own seemed impossible! In High School I struggled through my English classes, but I eventually found my footing and learned to love the art of writing and find joy in reading. Regardless, throughout my journey there were a few books that always stuck out to me. Reading these works was like my first pair of glasses, for the first time I could see the beauty in the words or fell in love with the characters in a way I didn't know was possible. Now that I love literature it is hard to pick my favorites, so my choices are the books I couldn't put down! Sometimes all it takes to discover your niche, is one good recommendation.
